Tide Data
Since 1978, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/National Ocean Service (NOS) has operated a primary tide station (No.865-1370) at the seaward end of the FRF pier. A NOS acoustic tide gauge (Next Generation Water Level Measurement System, NGWLMS) is used to collect water level data every 6 minutes throughout the month.

Please be aware that the six-minute water level data and hourly ancillary data from the National Ocean Service - Next Generation Water Level Measurement System (NGWLMS) is direct from the the unit and has not undergone quality assurance checks. Such data is being released as preliminary data; It does not meet the criteria and standards of official National Ocean Service Tidal Data. For more information about the tide data, contact:

The tide data files contain actual tide height, predicted tide height, and the difference between actual and predicted. If you need to convert to Mean Low Water :
