Real time wave, current, and water data 
Wave, current, water level, and water temperature information are collected at multiple sites (see map) using multiple RD Instruments "Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers", or ADCPs. Data from the ADCPs located near Bald Head and Oak Island are available on this website, and the files are updated hourly. Previously recorded data summaries and ascii data files from these sites can be accessed by choosing "Waves & Currents" from the list on the left.
